An additional case of meaningless Points can come from longer breaks in areas with bad satellite reception. In these cases, the GPS recording may indicate movement by recording inaccurate points. I am calling these noise clouds. Choosing Clean Operations > Smooth > Noise Clouds
can remove such Points, leaving a first-stopped and first-resumed point in order to maintain information as to the length of the break while stripping out the incorrect ‘movement’.
Noise clouds are needing further refinement before a better demonstration can be shown. I will add images/animations here once this feature is fully operational.
